CowManager is a fast-growing international technology company helping dairy farmers make better decisions through real-time cow monitoring. Our solutions are used by farmers in more than 45 countries worldwide. 
 
As our New Zealand business continues to grow, we are looking for a Finance Officer who will take ownership of the day-to-day financial administration and support the local organisation with accurate financial reporting and customer account management. 
 
In this role, you will be the primary finance contact within New Zealand and work closely with our Global Finance team in the Netherlands.

What will you do? 

As Finance Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial administration of CowManager New Zealand and act as the local finance contact for customers, colleagues and our Global Finance team.

  • Managing accounts receivable, invoicing and collections

  • Performing bank, debtor and general ledger reconciliations

  • Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end activities

  • Supporting GST compliance and financial administration

  • Acting as the first point of contact for customer account enquiries

  • Managing overdue accounts and payment arrangements

  • Supporting financial reporting, cash flow monitoring and budgeting activities

  • Providing accurate financial information to local and global stakeholders

  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls

  • Working closely with Finance, Sales, Customer Success and Operations teams

Job requirements

Who are you? 

You are an organised and proactive finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and working independently. You have strong attention to detail, communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, and enjoy helping a growing business operate efficiently.

  • Experience in finance, accounting, accounts receivable or financial administration

  • Experience working with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, Business Central, SAP or similar systems

  • Strong reconciliation and financial administration skills

  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes

  • Strong Excel and reporting skills

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Experience within agriculture, technology or a growing international business is beneficial but not required.
