We are looking for an Area Sales Manager based in Taranaki/Manawatū
, New Zealand’s powerhouse of progressive dairy farming, to support and expand the use of CowManager, a globally trusted cow monitoring system with a strong local presence.
You will engage with the region’s highly skilled and innovative dairy producers, building relationships, supporting system adoption, and ensuring long term success on farm. With CowManager already well established in Taranaki, your role is to strengthen connections, identify opportunities for growth, and help farmers maximise value from our technology.

The Job
Based in Taranaki Region
Lead generation & acquisition: Identify and approach prospective customers. Provide demonstrations and support farm setups.
Consultative sales: Advise farmers on CowManager’s value in improving fertility, health, and nutritional outcomes.
Collaboration: Work closely with regional advisors, and the support team to ensure smooth onboarding and excellent customer experience.
Customer relationships: Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships focused on added value and upselling.
Reporting: Keep track of leads, opportunities, and sales progress in CRM tools. Share insights with local and global teams.
Work closely together with both CowManager NZ and CowManager HQ team members.

Job requirements
The Skills
Proven commercial experience, preferably in Agri-tech or dairy-related sales roles.
Knowledge of dairy farming practices, particularly pasture-based systems.
Confident communicator and presenter; persuasive and customer focused.
Proactive, results-driven, and self-organizing.
Open to travel throughout the Taranaki and Manawatu region.
Experience with CRM and digital tools is a plus.
